York County District Attorney Mark Lawrence, a Democratic candidate for Congress from Maine’s 1st District, joined in the Human Rights Torch Relay in Portland April 19 to call attention to China’s human rights abuses as it prepares to host the 2008 Olympics.

Dozens of Mainers joined in the April 19 Human Rights Torch Relay to protest China’s human rights abuses.  The Portland march was one of many held around the globe.
